Thatis telling you source voltage is the battery. You should see 12v at anything showing terminal 30. The "30" circuit is +Bat 12 vdc as already advise. On the wiring diagrams, it is a horizontal line at the top of the wiring diagram. "30" is the constant unswitched power supply for a lot of different components.

Weve had our B9 for just over 20months, think 18months or so is average for battery to last. Our other key shouldn't need its battery replacing as I had the misfortune of losing one and had to order one from Audi in November (expensive too - ouch) hence why both sets now sport those Tile trackers.
