I’m also not yet using pedals which I may decide to do in the future. If you’re interested in the dual stick build, Brother_Sabathius is a fellow Elite streamer who uses two Gladiator grips and could probably give you some thoughts! Conclusion. Thank you so much to VKB Sim for completely revolutionising my Elite: Dangerous experience.First plug it into Windows and check Start -> Devices and Printers, see if you see the joystick and can right-click, Game Controller Settings, Properties, and see the buttons and axes move. Then start the game and go into Options, Controls, and assign buttons and axes. These are my keybindings for using a dual joystick setup in Elite Dangerous. Feel free to use them as is, or modify them to suit your needs. I know some do use HOTAS for X4, and would recommend the official Egosoft forums if you want advice or example configs. I use HOTAS (Thrust master Throttle+ Stick) for Elite Dangerous, for context. Edit: For clarity, I do not see much difference between HOSAS and HOTAS. HOSAS is closer to a game pad perhaps so may be slightly better with X3/X4The Thrustmaster T16000 HOTAS has the joystick proper, but also a mini-joystick on the throttle, bot are refered to as "joy". So, "joy up" or whatever the wording actually is could refer to any which of the two. The game knows the difference, and won't mix them up, but won't display anything to let you know what the difference actually is. wZc9th.
